So about 4 weeks ago I planted a seed of skunk bud outside in my garden, it sprouted and i decided to move it into a bigger pot. So its currently in a large container with soil from my garden and a mesh screen ontop to keep out bugs. I keep a direct light over it for about 12 hours a day. here is a picture of my plant 4 days ago.

3 Days ago I bought some nutrients (15-30-15). I added the nutrient grains on top of the soil (not too much). Soon after I decided to water my plant and i noticed the water wasnt sinking into the soil, it was just sitting on top because there was too much water. So i poked to holes in the buttom of the container for the water to drip out of.

My question is, is my plant looking bad now because of over watering or the nutrients? and whats the quickest way to cure my baby :/

Might i suggest....

instead of using 12 hour light, go to 24, (wait till flowering to use 12/12) and in the picture it looks like there is store bought soil in the pot. Did you use soil from outside or what?

How does the plant look? What looks wrong with it?

When is the flowering stage exactly? when it doesn't grow vertically and just flowers?

I have soil from outside thats from my garden (been growing veggies in my garden for about 8 years now so i figured that soil would be filled with nutrients). I added some 15-30-15 nutrient grains on top. Now the plant looks lifeless :/

Flowering is when you want your buds to grow, or when the plant wants to flower. IF you use 24 hr light, then after about 45-60 days, or whenever you want to flower depending on height and everything, switch to 12/12 light, Thats 12 on and 12 off.

If you just transplanted it, you could have just shocked the plant. I strongly recommend that you stay away from transplanting after that long, because it will stunt the growth and possible kill it.

if u been growin in ur garden for years thatd mean it has no nutes now (unless added), and if u want to be able to water more easily use a soil mix with some perlite, good luck brotha

First off wrong nutes...you want like a 20-5-5 for vegging...and ALWAYS have lots of drain holes...and never put the nutes ontop of the soil...mix it in water...and then feed it about once a week with that water mixed with your nutes... when it's fairly dry lookin on the top..stick your finger 2" down on the side of the pot and feel how moist or dry it is, then water accordinly. As for now don't water that puppy till she's almost dry.

so I need 3 different types of nutrients for the 3 different stages? (veg,flower,bud)? which would you recommend for each stage?

no. just for now put your plants on 24/0,for say 5 weeks, then goto 12/12 and when you goto flowering.12/12. when you put the plants in dark. make sure no lite gets to the plants, and also get a timer. other your plants will go hermie. do you know what one is?.
just use m.grow once a week from week 3 to 5. then when you goto 12/12 get some nute for flowering.like bio bloom for flowering theres only 2 stages really.
vegg=growing the plant to the size you want, but dont forget plants can double once you switch to 12/12.
12/12 flowering= flowering the plant, and once youve gone to 12/12, then you can tell sex after 2/3/4 weeks depending,
water every two days and i wouldnt feed for a week or two.
ps. is that a pot your plants in. has it got holes in the bottom, also what lites you using and what strain.

yes its got 5 holes on the bottom, i'm thinking i need to move it into a larger pot soon. I'm using a CFL and the strain was off some skunk bud.

when you pot on.today if you can.
1/3 perlite or vacumate
1/8 river sand
rest good compost.
also make sure theres a few pebbles in the mix to help drainage. and also have 2" of pebbles in the bottom of your pot, for when you need to flush.
the plants a bit small, what lites you using?.
