Default raising ph
What can I add to my plants to raise the ph.I have a reading of 4.25 and the other plant is 5.25.
I do a search on raising ph and it won't work! frustrating thus the question.thanks Showgirl

go get some ph up...but for a quick fix use some baking soda.

I like to use silica. It's great for the plants and natural. I use it with every feeding...and if I ever screwup and add too much sulphuric acid I add a little silica to bring it back up.

Silica?? what do you mean,sand or is it a garden center item.Showgirl

Untreated sand is silica, yes. Quartz also. You can purchase it all over the place.

I would invest in some pH Up and Down though. Go to www.wormsway.com

Lots of companies offer a silica additive in a liquid form. I like Dyna-gro's Pro-tek...but there are lots of others as well. It's a good thing to use especially if you grow in hydro or soiless mediums. Soil has silica in it naturally...but all the other mediums we use like promex, sunshine mix, coco coir do not have silica in them.

I use Barricade from Advanced Nutrients. Helps roots too. 2 in one..
