Rocklock + Strawberry Cough Clones

This is my first attempt with cloning, wish me luck! I have always grown from seed which has been very successful, but I'm very excited to have a new project!

I ended up growing out the mothers for two months and decided to start clipping last night. I took twenty cuttings from the DNA Rocklock, which I have not tried yet, (a freebie from the 'Tude btw) and 20 cuttings of Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough, which is tried and true. Friggin delicious!

So far they are looking pretty good.. :mrgreen:

I dipped them in Homegrown Hydroponics Stim Root and have been misting periodically with plain water. I've been watering them with a VERY mild solution of 1/2 ml per litre of the root hormone and less than a quarter dose of Jack's Classic Bloom 1-3-2.

You need a higher P with fresh clones, correct?

Thanks Swisha

The SC is a very nice strain, no doubt. I originally bought those seeds for their anti-anxiety properties, but it really didn't really help with that issue too much. But damn, I ended up with a very high quality smoke full of all the attractions: a nice pungent odor, a very spicy flavour and has great bag appeal. Oh and gets you fuckin laid out too ;)

Check out the pics:

Yeah, I couldn't help with the yellowing of those leaves. Throughout flower I was adding some additional N periodically, but to no avail. Sure didn't matter though, the bud turned out excellent!

For lighting,all I have is a 400W MH for veg and a 400W HPS Conversion lamp for flower. For nutes, I use Jack's Classic Orchid Special 3-1-1 for veg and Blossom Booster 1-3-2 for flower. I usually add some molasses during flower as well.

Thank you , my friend. The experience will come. Just make sure you do lots of experimentation and find what's just right for your growing conditions. I've only been growing for a short while too! Hell, this is my first clone experiment! We're always learning. Even the most experienced. The key is to keep tweaking ideas and keep things interesting IME.

word, i got a 400 watt hps (still veg under cfl's to keep a perpetual system going) and i have been told that yellowing happens and that it is a natural part of the plants life, BUT I want the buds that high times reps and I know i have seen many people who have little yellowing on their plants to none! But like you said to dudley it is probably all information that I will learn through experience...

however i wish you and your clones the best of luck!

enjoy the bud that binds:hump::joint:

Just an update for those of you who are interested.

As stated above, I had 20 cuttings of each strain, but had to settle on 16 of each because that's all I could accomodate after I had the pots made.

The ladies were potted on Sep 18 and were vegging up to the 30th to get a nice root structure before flower. I switched (on the 30th) to the 400W HPS and 12/12 and have clipped any new shoots to have single cola plants. So far so good, except some of the Rocklock plants have cupping fans. Raised light for potential heat stress, though it's a nice 78-79F, and also added 1tsp per gallon of epsom salts the last couple feedings for a potential Mg deficiency. The cupping hasn't gotten any worse, so hopefully that problem is nipped.

Here's a few pics for ya:
