A shot of some of the LED's on my girl. I have 6 10w xtra bright LED grow lights, i had 2 of them always on my OG x SD who vegged a couple weeks longer than the others, and at flower I've put 4 of the LED's concentrating on her. This is supplementing my 250w Full Spectrum Metal Halide from HID hut. She has had some Major LST which is why she's such a bush shape instead of a tree. Also threw in a shot of my LA Confidential girls.

The OGxSD seems to have an insane amount of bud growth locations, at least compared to the LA confidential girls. Not sure if this is mostly from the LED's or the bit of extra vegetation (which half of its extra time it was sick and struggling to live cuz of a screw up i had with some cheap hydro system and i nursed her to health in soil and got the LA's shortly after)

Once I got the LA's in there, I did 4 weeks veg and started flower. I plan to veg longer next time but I just need some medicine cuz the medical clubs are expensive and I'm sick of paying high prices.

What causes them to grow one leaf instead of five leaf sets.

Could be since it is a clone, I've been told they can exhibit odd behavior, or it could be a weird side effect of LED's when i had them pretty close, I did notice several leaves growning in a spiral where there was close direct LED light.

I've read somewhere on the site that the odd shaped leaves can come from cloning a plant that has been in flowering. Not sure though.

Thats probably it. the clone had signs of sex when i got it.... so it had probably just began flowering.

BUT! I'm not disapointed hehe she's my favorite, I'm gonna be kinda sad when I harvest her


edit: added pic of one of her 5 leafers taken today lol also some pics of her growth, taken 4 days ago (a few leaves drooping because i wanted to really dry out the soil, i normally take pics when i water, thats whats up with that)

Ok i reckon they are looking ok but if you want some bigger buds you might want to add a fluro tube and swap out the metal halide bulb for a hps bulb.
It also looks like they could do with a bit more p and k and some kind of carb product i.e. molasses.
I hope you end up with some smoke wateva you do and best of luck with the leds

i actually have an 85w CFL in one corner but its the one imitating budding light, i have another imitating regular from my hydro setup i bougth from stealthhydro (which was the biggest peice of shit i ever bought and the lights are the only useful thing and the only survivor of that grow in their ghetto inconsistent container was the OGxSD who was only 4" after a couple weeks and sick when i rescured her from it after all the others died) but i dont have that light in the tent right now cuz i am not happy abotu putting another 85 watts in.

here is the problem, the ballast is not switchable, a friend thought it would be nice to buy it for me and put 75%(thinking paying about 40 bux would cover some stuff i did for him) of the cost on me because he thought he was doing a favor even though it wouldnt have been the light i'd choose.

I actually want to get rid of it and perhaps try a T-5 with the LED's as supplement next time with less plants cuz i think if i do the led's right i cna produce as much wish less but then again if i goto a T-5 all i know about this grow goes out the window.

Nat, with a flouro in there but over by another plant, would you recommend maybe putting the big girl right under the MH (it is full spectrum even tho i wouldnt have done that either *mumbles he meant well*)

i just don't want my landlord (sicne my electric is included (dude i love parenthesis you know this, i am just adding that i normally ran a 12000 btu ac unit whenever i wasn't at work so about 10 hours a day at least and they offhand mentioned the electric incrase so i've jsut tried to lower my use of the A/C and use the lights, so i can't really boost my HID much, but maybe i could save and invest in some T-5's to replace teh 250wfull spectrum MH, what woudl i need to handle the tent i have (check my threads started by me and see pics)




also, i have to kill my seedlings before they mature because under california proposition 215 i can have 12 plants, but only 6 mature 6 immature and since im doing flower lighting i dont want to risk any of them going mature in a way that could incriminate me with california (yes i know the DEA could pwn me whenever but as I've contacted enough local legalization organizations and so forth a bust on a minor grow be more likely to bring positive support for medical legalization nationwide thah detour it, they're after big growers and medical facilities taking advantage of patients and taking huge profits)

natmoon - bro im drunk and high right now i think from your posts you know how it is , i dunno much about what i typed before this but specifically you mentioned adding some more nutes, i will try but i have actually been adding a botanicare sweet formula citrus style, the most dominant ingredrient is a form of magnesium or whatever, is this similar to molasas? did the hydro guys steer me wrong to sell product? should i switch to something else?

overall you think they're lackign a little nutes tho right?

keep your temps steady. doesnt look like they need much other than a strict lighting and feeding schedule. Keep the calcium, P, and K high while budding. and dont let it get too hot or too cold during the day and night. +/- 7º. Those HID bulbs get so hot after a few hours. That is most likely why the leaves are sagging, if you are spraying them a lot that is also the cause. I never sprayed with hydro bc they have access to H2O 24/7. Good luck! how do you like those LED's? I hear they are sooooo cheap.
