Im looking for some people who hav flowered using CFL's. as i've been reading and gathering information i have found that CFLs wont give you as dense of buds and an HID light, but how will CFL's affect potency, taste, smell, ect. also seeing as how CFL's dont have the pennetrating capibilities as an HID light does this mean the yeild will be lower?

cfls are JUST as great as hps at growing except for this. you are the only newb that ive seen to understand it that bluntly without experiencing it firsthand. good. nice to meet you

there was a post not too long ago called "anyone flowering with cfl's" that had a bunch of great responses to it. i tried looking around a lil for ya but couldent find it.

i did see that post i acctualy contributed to it. that post is what sparked my questions. i also know that the biggest factor in potency, yeild, smell taste are genetics. but seeing as how the chlorplast aborbs the light to synthesize certin things needed by the plant i want to know how artificial light will effect certin aspects of the synthesis specificaly relating to those factors mentioned above.

a mj plant at its most basic was designed to grow with only sunlight. the sun releases all kinds of electromagnetic radiation, gamma rays, uv, visual, x-rays, micro waves, radio waves. im exploring the different options available to me that will simulate artificaly the things needed by the plant. and i never half ass anything i want to know more then ill ever need so i dont get any suprises along the way. maybe having explained that, you know what information im serching for
