Hello - can you clone lowryder & what is the cloning gel that this website talks about? Where can I buy it (UK).

If you live in the states, you can get it at any garden shop. I bought SCHULTZ TAKE ROOT cloning powder at freaking Home Depot.

From what I understand you cant clone lowrider. If you have seeds you need to keep the males and females together the first crop so you can get seeds to grow the next crop of fems. Then repeat when needed.

i've tried it without success, had to grow from seed to bud each time. Unless you have a lowrider cross, you might not get the potency your looking for. I've grown low rider by its-self and also a cross with NL. the LR by itsself was not as strong as the one crossed.

lowryder is a self flowering plant meanning it will flower at a certain time no matter how long a light period u give it. i have even see it flower under 24 hours of continous light. the plant from seed to harvest is only 60to 70 days thats sprout to veg to flower to harvest in no more then 70 days so because of that it is not cloneable. even the breeder says u have to start from seed everytime.

So if I end up with a male in my batch im going to have to sacrifice one of my females in order to get seeds for the next time? Also all I need to do is put the male and female together to produce seeds, correct???? Cheers for all the help!

Nope ... you don't have to "sacrifice" the female. Here's what to do:

Take the female into a neutral room, like the bathroom ... away from your grow. Take a small, plastic trash bag and cut a small hole into it. Now put the trash bag over the female plant, and stick one branch out of the hole you cut into the bag. Take some twist-ties and tie the bottom of the bag so that nothing can get in.

Take some pollen from the male plant by shaking over some paper ... then collect a little pollen. Don't do this around any of your other females or the one in the bathroom either. *lol*

OK, now you have a little pollen on the paper, so collect it and put it in a small container. Now, take the container into the bathroom and use a small artist brush to apply the pollen to the buds on the branch sticking through the bag. Leave the pollenated female in the bathroom for 24 hours and destroy the male ... or whatever else you were going to do with it.

Also, after the pollentation exercise, take a shower and change your clothes so you won't get pollen on your other plants.

When the 24 hours are up, use a spray bottle with plain water in it and spray the pollentated branch to be sure to get all the unused pollen off of the branch. Then, move the female back into your grow area.

That's about it ... hope this helps you out.

What if I'm using a DWC system. Can I just put my plant in a bucket with some water for this 24 hour period?
