Default anyone ever used a MH for flower?

anyone ever flowered with a MH and is there a big difference in yield and quality when not using a HPS? I'm wondering because I got a 400w MH and probly not going to get a HPS for this grow any way just wondering if it is a bad idea to use the MH.

i got the same issue man, 400w mh and not enough money for hps, but ive been looking into it, and it seems that you can buy a conversion kit to switch over to hps. will try to find one and post a link for you

i have seen the conversion bulbs but i heard that you lose a lot of the lights effectiveness with them. not really sure if this is in any way true though.
