CO2 fire extinguisher

can a CO2 fire extinguisher be used to add co2 to your grow room or does it have to be strictly regulated.

Unless you devise a way to let the CO2 out slowly, it is not going to benefit you much. Letting it all out at once is just going to give your ladies a quick breath, and then it will blow away and stabilize. If you are very committed to it, you could go in every day, shut off ventilation as well as possible, let a spurt of CO2 out of the extinguisher, and try to keep it in for an hour or so. However, It seems like it would be a big pain in the ass, and it isn't terribly cheap to get those things refilled anyway, and you will likely have to do it often.

i was thinking of a short burst after lights out in a wardrobe set up. i have never used CO2 so dont know enough about it to take that chance. could it damage the plants at all. I have been given two fire extinguishers by a friend.

The plants need the Co2 during their light hours much more than at night.

Hmm I do not think so. The bigger issue is using Co2 responsibly. You can kill yourself if concentrations get too high.Unfortunately I do not know enough about it to tell you exactly how much to use. You can use dry ice, yeast, or go pro with a tank / slow release. any of these I am sure should be fine.

A few years back.. during a night of debauchery and mayhem I fired off about 6 fire extinguishers in an apartment complex....i shot them at cars, people, windows.. it was pretty AWESOME.... people running around screaming and yelling...

I have no idea if they were co2 extinguishers or NOT... but i made a fooking HUGE mess and sprayed and enormous area of apartments down with white disgusting smelly shite...
