She is in soil. About a 4 gallon bucket. At the time she will be about 18-22 inches tall, and quite bushy.

I will saturate her before I leave, but I am afraid that is not enough to ensure her survival. I also plan to turn her from 24/0 under HID to 18/6 under a few blue CFLs. I believe this will help--but is there anything else? Has anyone devised a relatively cheap way to deliver water when absent?

Drill a small pinhole in a bucket of water with a small hose so the water just barely drips out and place it in your plant.

Mite help a bit.

Actually Mogie has posted some vacation type watering systems. Look in the FAQ, upper left hand side of this page. She has included pictures. Haven't looked at it in a while. If I remember right you use a float switch, costs less than $10.00 for the switch. VV

I haven't actually tried this myself, but I think it would work.

Fill a big ice chest or bucket with water. Put a small submersible aquarium pump into it (cheap, like around $10). Connect the pump to a timer set to come on for a few minutes every couple of days. Run some tubing to your pot and put a drip emitter on the end.

It may take you a little experimenting with the timing to know how long and how often to set your timer to turn on.

The "Auquaglobe".... The advertisement says it will work for a full 2 weeks. Marijuana DOES like drought conditions at times, so I'm sure it would be just fine for a week without water. =)

yeah that's pretty true, the plant would probably rape the water in the globe in a few days
