24 Hour light or 18/6 day/night photoperiod/

Yea , I was about to say why are u asking us for with piks like that!! We should be soaking you for knowledge. There have been reports of erroneous piks showing up in peeps posts since this conversion.

As to 18/6 20/4 24/0 ? I have witnessed crops grown in Alaska and the summer solstice is around the 21st each June. Farmers have witnessed some growth slowdown during this period. This is when the sun is at its' maximum 20/4. They say the growth picks up about 2 weeks later. So I would think that 18/6 would be better. This is in max veg growth though, clones probably are better 24/0 . I myself go 18/6 because of this Alaska growth phenomena and have no complaints. In my own grows I notice they tend to respond a little better at 18/6. I would think it may have something to do with total light exposure in a day. Say you blast a plant with 400 watts of MH as opposed to a plant exposed to 250 watts. It would take the 250 watt plant 24 hours to equal the 400 watt plant at 18 hrs. But personally I like 18/6

here are the updates folks. sry its been a while. but i got rid of the cfls and am now a member of the 400 watt club. lol

here are some updated pics of the harvest of four of my soil plants. they were in 1.5 gallon pots in my closet. most of the time under cfls. the last three weeks of flowering they were under a 400 watt hps.

24 hours of light on is fine but why do 24 when 18/6 will be just as sufficient only if plants are already established a bit, Im new also into my plants for about one year now. Im still learning but have learned alot. Answer this for me if anyone can, my issue is with drying. my buds seems to sometimes get too dry, what temp is best to dry at?

well your supposed to hang them for about four to five days. and then put them in a glass airtight jar for two more days. thats called curing. hang them up and when the stems snap and dont bend. that is when u put them in the jar. this wioll keep the buds sticky and gooey like they r supposed to be and not over dry. thats how ive been dioing it and its worked fairly good for me. I learned that from jorge cervantes in his famous medicinal grow bibles.
