Thread: Poorman's ridiculous micro grow( cfl ) ..PICS Seed 2 harvest (hopefully)

This is am ongoin grow i coudnt wait to finish . Yes Go by the Title of the thread. Dont expect hifi gro shit in this journal. A poor stoners humble attempt (once again after so many failures) on growing our Favourite herb. No pH / ppm testers and all that ..why??? firstly in my part of the world its hard to find these things or the nice grow utilities u guys have. secondly im a poor stoner badly tied up on the cash scene.

ahem.....

AIM: While u can see the countless reasons why this grow should fail , my aim remains to go for a micro stealth cfl grow. The concept of 12/12 from seed fantasized me fro a long time.but also the idea scares the shit outta me. So ill take somethings from both the sides . Ill veg them for 2-3 weeeks ...then flower.
Another inspiration was Holefillers Micro grow(google it f u dnt knw) ..That guy proved that u can get close to yields of 1 gram per watt with cflsand a micro grow space.Its amazing .

STRAIN : get ready for the disappointment ........Bagseed..good news is it comes from kiler buds a nice potent strain iv been smkin for say more than 4 years ..and as long as i have this shit i never get desperate for nething else...even hash..the high is n plain words awesome.

GROW COMPARTMENT: A cardboard micro grow box as it was easy to maintain , modify and very light to move around to keep it private.Dimension 12X11X10 inches

LIGHTING : 64 watts of CFL (teo 23 watters at 6500k one 18 watter at 2300 k)Lighting . 18 - 20 hrs of lighting per day during vegging.

VENTING : 2 CPU Muffin fans ...one was added later for intake..i was initially ussing passive intake with only one fan for exaust. Later after the sedlings grew a bit i added another for intake.

HUMIDITY : (NO IDEA )it was Humid enough for my hand for me to conclude that the plants wll be alright...If i guess it should be say 50 % approx again

pH : No FUKIN Idea ! Dont laugh but i try smelling the soil . from my experience with overall garden growing , soil could smell acidic or sort of alkalik ..i

MEDIUM : Organic Rocks !! A dumb ass gardening shop is my only hope here...i got a a nice potting mix (unbranded ..u dont get miracle gro , fxfarm n all that here)..it ws mostly perilite some coco coir (mashed up) kinda stuff. Now this soil had the advantage of being quite light ..yet retaining moisture....i learnt from my initial attempts the importance of watering and gettng a good soil mix accordingly
Oh i also added some neem bark ot hte mix. and a small percentage of vermicompost to provide initial nutrition if needed.

NUTRIENTS: I got Vermi Compost , bone meal and someting meant for roses for flowering not sure bout it yet

TEMPERATURE : Not an issue til nw..its comfortable for my skin so should itbe for them babies.

well a few pics how it started...i kept modyfying the grow box gradually like a fkin rookie...neway a few shots on the box , the working lid i made , the lights and the fan (exhaust) ofcourse the babies..a few growing fast...rest coming up...shots from 25 th or 26 th feb..im sorry a bit messd up. lights were on 18 - 20 hours a day....they took some time to poke their heads out

nothing much just watering them very carefully .the soil drries out a bit fastly ..but its okay...tthe good thing that im noticing bout my medium is that inspite of being n organic soil grow..( containers being small...) they dont hold water for too long..so hopefully im ruling out possible root rot n shit..we'll see

well the seedlings are a bit more developed now.again a few growing faster than the lot..im not keeping count of these seedlings..i just want a few seedlings or young veg plants and flower them simple...im done growin one or two..as some shit happens and ur grow is crumbled to nothing in a space of time..and thats pretty sad...so im not takin chances...even if one plant makes it of the whole batch..in not mr. greenthumb.. so im not takin chances..i also put a few seeds outside ..might introduce them later..if needed..
