Howdy everyone,

Let me first start by saying that the title of this thread says it all. I am new to the world of grow, new to the world of hydroponics and I have a whole lot to learn.

Let me tell you about my setup.

As of current I am doing a DWC system that is home to 4 white widow clones. The white widows are only a few inches but have very nice root growth, they came in rockwool and have now been placed in hydroton. The WW"s are sitting under a 400W MH light.

Sitting directly next to the WW's in the DWC system is a 5 Gallon bucket drip system I put together. The Drip system is now home to an AK47 clone I picked up. We are currently calling her lady AK. Lady AK is under a 150W MH bulb.

My entire setup is being housed in a closet as of right now but will separated down the line. I am planning to veg lady AK much longer then the WW's. the current plan to Flower the WW's around 18" and Lady AK around 2 1/2'.

I've already learned a few lessons. The first lesson I learned is that if you want to do it right you wont do it cheap. The second lesson I learned is that the liquid PH test kits suck and a digital is the way to go. My WW's were struggling, according to my liquid PH test kit the PH was between 5 and 6. According to the digi it was 6.8 needless to say my WW's have had a rough start to life but their ph is now correct as is lady AK's.

I need to find a camera that can take proper pics. As of right now the camera I have puts really bad black lines through pics. It's something to do with the MH light I suppose.

My WW's have been planted 4 days in the DWS system and lady AK was planted tonight.

The whole system is being vented through a 4" ecoline fan installed in the attic directly above the closet.

And for the record... This grow is entirely legal in my state based on the number of patients and plants growing.
