using a mh 4oowatt to grow 6 clones i picked up at a med club. just when i was fucking with my timer i turned off everything accidentally and when i went to turn the ballast back to on it wouldnt ignite the bulb. so i unplugged it for about 20 min to cool down and it still didnt work.

so i repackaged the ballast and am sending it out later today. but my plants are really the issue.

i had to set up 2 40 watt flourescents and have it about 2-3 inches from the top and am not sure if they should be on 24 hrs on or 18 -6 off. and how are they going to affect growth? my 3 bubba kush are 18 inches and snow cap(sativa) are about 24 inches.

leave em on 24hrs total. your plants are used to a LOT of light from that 400watt. youll want them to have the extra 4hrs

its obvious that if u turn ur balast off it wont turn on as u wish... u should wait around 5 to 10 mins before turning it on and mayb you broke it because u unplugged it to early. the ground in this case is very usefull and wasnt connected... you can find balast every where easily just gotta look at the right place. this summer i found 1 balast in parks. i had to cut it off the wall but still after that it work perfect and i allready had the bulb too!

you dumb fuck. why steal ballasts and fuck with afro engineering the thing to work? Find a cheap ballast online instead of stealing the thing from some city park where its need to make it safe for little children. Next time you go try to steal a ballast, I hope you get caught, sentenced, and dry fucked up the ass, by bubba of cellblock 13. How about that for shedding some light on some of your work. maybe itll make your brain work as well since that is an outcome that could possibly happen.
