I have smoked weed for a number of years and have recently decided to do my first ever grow, just because of the '£10 a Gram' situation we have here in my home town.
I have a friend who has been growing for many years and has the know-how and the growing experience who could help me along the way.
I found my self doing the 'Cheap option' this all went to pot, ill get on to that...i got my self some 50p pots and some soil from a local garden center, some seeds from a small shop that sold seeds (Lemon Skunk/Green Grass House, i think) and i was away! using natural daylight through my window in earli december!.. HA! i look back now and think what a fool!
I went through germination and simply used the paper towel method... it worked well, germed in just a few days! I put them in a pot of soil about a inch down. after a day i found my self picking at the soil looking for progress (first indication of being im-patient)then i would cover it back over. I finally noticed a 'U-bend' Shape sprouting out of the soil. YES FINALLY LIFE!!!
Over the next week i noticed two oval shaped leaves covering something on top of a stem above the soil.. a week later the first leaves apeared!! this is all in natural daylight ... 8 hours of light a day PFT!
my friend came over to see what was happening... He just wanted some cutting's so he has something to mother and grow! in exchange for help...cant complain! he said i must get a 400w HPS if i want to get through this grow... And a place to grow! it was alot to ask in a time where i thought i was doing something right with my window grow i did succeded in 5 feminized lives! but i got on the case he told me about a shop that sells growing equiptment... i went there and got my 400W HPS and Black And White plasticy stuff to go on the walls... I got back home and Built my first proper grow room! i had a 4"x4" closet that had no carpet and a boiler... perfect humitidy! i built a grow box which you can see in my Photo gallery... its pretty cool!
It went on and i noticed a Quicker growing speed, healthyer plants and they where on a timer for 18 hours of light a day! all was going well if you look at my photo gallery you'll see the plants under the picture i have written whats happend... but looking back now they look shite! Agree?? But ok for a first grow i keep meaning to post new pics but i have had to move them from my property which ill get on to ...Right Now i think!
The person who lived next door popped round one day and asked politely do i smoke weed ... i asked why (we have a good relationship) she simply said she has alot of friends over and they could smell cannibis and because she has a child they would ring the police she said NO and she will speak to me... so here she was asking the question... knowing i couldnt lie i said i do smoke it and im ever so sorry because she has a child... she accepted it and then questiend if i was growing... PANIC!!! i convinced her i was not... then got on the phone to a friend to see if i could move them to his place. he said yes so i baged the plants in binliners bagged all the equiptment up and moved 2 mins later after she had gone out! PHEW!
they where stuffed in a "under the stairs dirty coubourd" lucky they are quite hardwearing plants recommend for a first grower!... we eventually got to move them in a cleaner walk in wardrobe upstairs... this was ideal as we could put a carben filter through into the attic to get rid of the smell... i decided as they where 15" tall i would flower them. i did have only two left now by the way... 3 had died over the moving and dirty cubourd times!
one was very bushy, as the top had curled up and died and all the hormoans where going outwards and making the sides catch up.. this has worked well because now i have 3 rings of bud spots just from looking above... the sides have catched up you see... the other one, its 23" tall and is big leaved! and has big bud spots by the looks of it! they have grown about a Foot in a week and half...

anyway thats where im up to on my first grow but a few facts for you first time indoor growers that might help from my experience!
-Get a Decent Grow Place Thats Perfect For Your Grow
-Get The Equiptment!
-Sort Your Room, Get Your seeds, Start...

-Think About Posible Ways People May Notice Your Grow...LIGHT?, SMELL? there the main two.
-Dont Do The Cheap... Better to Get a Larger Yeild With Good Equiptment To Cover Costs Of The Equiptment.
-Read Up! Best Thing i Have Done Is Read Especially On Rollitup.Org! Get First hand knowledge before you go into your steps!
