Right basically i finished my first plant (dunno what the seeds where as they came from a bud) and i want to grow my second now. I only got around 2GRAMS off my last plant but i got told it was because i was using a HALOGEN lamp. i been looking on the forums and it would seem a CFL is the best light to use. I found this light on ebay Hydroponics 125w grow light lamp & Envirolite hanger - eBay Plants Seeds Bulbs, Garden Plants, Home Garden (end time 23-Oct-07 21:40:47 BST) and wanted to know if this would be a good purchase, my new plant is a Lowryda 2. any help would be greatly appreciated cheers.

not a very great lamp for the veg stage but it'd definitely be a lot better than the halogen. look for something that is full spectrum or 6500k to have a more successful vegetative stage. that lamp would be perfect for flowering however.

Just pick up a 400w HPS and forget the CFL's......GL

would i need a different holder or jus a different bulb for the veg stage?
