I will be starting to use fluorescent tube lighting with my grow, I have 3 40watt bulbs that will be running 24/0, how much could that possibly cost? Is it going to be a huge spike? I mean personally I am not worried about the cost, I say fuck the electric company, however I have a roomies who might freak if it's outrageous.


Anyone else using fluorescent tubing that could give me a estimate?





I would really hate to stop my grow, they are looking so pretty.

generally floro's dont constume much power, like i mean people leave their computers and all their lights on all day. cops wont even bust small grow ops like say your using a 400watt hps like i wouldnt even worry about it.

dude..every normal bulb in your house for ur ceiling fans are 60 watt bulbs...for all they kno...you have alot of rooms in ur house..or jus fish tanks or reptiles and shit..you are good..i used the same tthing for 2months str8

I don't know the answer to your question. What I do know is 120 watts of flouros isn't much. The real problem is having roomates that may freak. That's the problem I would solve for.

i had 6 T12 bulbs going 24/7 and it raised the bill by about $40 last month so i said fuck it and threw in a 400watt H.I.D I may as well if I am going to be using the juice anyways
