I dont live in america so alot of recommended products just arent available to me .Right now i am debating. I have a plant 3 weeks into budding and it is showing signs of nutrient deficiency(some lower leaves are turning yellow which means it needs N + some of the leaf tips are a bit dry and brown). I have a choice between a time release fertilizer that looks like all these little balls that i guess desolve over time(its says 6 months), the other choice is this no name pink coloured sandy stuff the local flower shop said was a good mix with water universal fertilizer that you apply every 2-4 weeks.

I am just wondering if the time release could over dose the plants since i cant "control" the exact dosage(it releases over time( it has 15% N, 9% P, 9% K)) or if i should go with the general fertilizer without any knowledge of what chemical percentages are in it.

It is very unlikely that you can OD with time release... You are talking about the time release stakes ?


BUT.... i must share with you a couple thoughts..

- brown tips mean OVER feeding..
- yellow leaves at the bottom of the plant are normal for a flowering plant.. especially in the 4-8th weeks.. eventually, all your fan leaves should and will turn yellow and fall off
- over feeding is bad

I have the ph at around 6. all the leaves above the middle are nice and dark green but under the middle some start to get lite green and yellow(the brown tips are only on the yellow leaves). Lower on the plant some leaves are also sorta curling under and drying out a little..... could it be that since i just dealt with a mite problem do you think the neem oil i used for it could've "poisoned" the plant?
