ok its taking forever, i know i should be patient but i wasnt expecting this long...could this be a good thing that it is take awhile? dont males show sex signs earlier then fem?

by 12 days i mean flowering..my plant is about 5 1/2 weeks old

Patience, I've heard that males show first but it's got a lot of variables too, like strains (genetics). Just hang in there I have some strains that show within a week, I have a Blue Berry that looks like it is about to bud when it's in veg. Just hang in there, it'll happen.

One last question, are you on 12/12 lighting? I know you probably are but I wanted to double check.

yea i have been but then i just changed it to 11/13.. is it safe to change the lighting down after a week and a half of 12/12?

No, your not being patient. What was your thinking in changing to 11/13? Be patient. Leave it at 12/12, quit trying to force a reaction. I had a plant that did not show sex until 23 days. More than likely, you started flowering before it was actually ready to start growing bud and it had more growing to do before it was ready. Leave it alone and it will do its thing, patience is the key. Put it back on 12/12 and just water it when its thirsty.

almost 6 weeks old....2 days till its been flowering for 2 weeks

Leave it alone, it will go when its ready. Would you induce labor for your girlfriend or wife at 5 months, when all signs are good? If its a she, and even if its not, it will show what it is. Just play the waiting game. Your going to do more damage trying to make it show its sex.

Cannabis requires 12/12 to flower as far as i know 13/11 will not be good
