It feels like my Great white shark is dying :( the leaves seem really soft.. i would really like to diagnose the problem so that it can be fixed, Is it possible that its just a bad seed?

It's real simple bro. On a summer day outside the sunlight provides 10,000 lumens per sq. ft. To grow quality cannabis at a normal rate you have to provide them at least 3000 lumens per sq. ft. Your 1ft 18w bulbs would produce right around 1400 lumens. Their not going to grow well under that light,if I were you I would switch it to a 4500K-6500K (2) CFL 40+ watts. On top of them being to weak the tube fluro's have very little intensity to heat that soil up and activate your nutes etc... On the other hand Compact Fluro's have great intensity for vegging and little to no heat to have to worry about. Also a HPS will grow them but their made to project a spectrum around 3500K which is a orange spec made for flowering purpose's. If you wanna do it perfect you'll get yourself a light in the 5000K spec which is called a cool white made for vegging plants. Hope that helps you out!

:wall: I think my Great white shark is dying! And my white rhino isnt looking too good either, they both seem to have similar symtoms (leaves curling down) exept im pretty sure that my white rhino is still growing.
Please help me fix these plants up! All 6 of my plants have been treated the same but its only happening to those 2. What can i do? I have some macro piks here so u can see very clearly, please save my poor old great white shark!!

Also, my 6 bagseeds have just sprouted!

get back to me thanks.

So youre thinking its nothing more than heat stress? What if i jus place it further away from the light than the rest, because the others seem to be loving it.. Would it help any more if i cut the top of a bottle off and place it over the top to act as a humidity dome? thanks rasclot ur always there for me :D

Okay i recon il put just the GWS and white rhino back under floros... But ill leave the others under hps. Ill have to be doing this in the same room so i will hook the hps and the floros up to the same timer.. And i put the "humidity dome" over the top of it just to see if it will help out.. sound good? safe

Okay well what do you suggest i do? just leave it how it is? maybe place the plants a bit further away from the lights.. and put that dome on top to help out a lil? ive noticed that the tips of the leaves were quite "crispy".. this has to be heat stress init?

maybe they will benifit from a little humidity, if they are crispy. plants need time to adjust to there environment if it has changed. what are your temps and how far away is the HPS?

i inspected your pics again and stand by what i said, they will harden up. seedlings are wierd curly little things anyways.

Your dope bag seeds came from buds though which means their genetics are F2 at best. Stick with your F1 greenhouse seeds their a much better plant, any dope bag seed means that the bud had turned herm on you which takes away from its full potential. Just trying to help you out,I'm new to this site but have been in the game for awhile bro!

I understand mate, i am sticking with my fem seeds ofcourse but just have the bagseeds as backups.. so what do you think is going on with my great white shark? Hav you got any feedback for them? And yeah, the next grow i do i will grab an MH bulb because my ballast is switchable.. thanks

Update... First off we got the great white shark then the white rhino, which arent looking very well still.. I really dont understand what is going on with them but o well..

So in the next piks we got the lemon skunk then the cheese then the trainwreck.. all 3 are looking fine but the trainwreck is really leaving the rest behind.. Last night the temps maxed at 83, a bit too hot? The lamps is about 16 inches from the tops... The last picture is a group shot of the trainwreck, cheeese, lemon skunk, and the plants im LST'ing.. Along wid a random seedling. Can someone just tell me that the great white shark is going to die so i can get over it lol.. although its only the first set of leaves that are dying and not the new growth, and even then it dont look like it is growing.. On the ova hand id like to try and save my white rhino at least because it is larger and probably has more chance of living.
I am really in need of some help here people, if its a deficiency i would like to know how to solve it! thanks

some strains are not as vigorous as others, the white rhino and great white shark are going to need a little more time than the others to establish there roots. this is why they are not showing as much visible growth. different strains have different characteristics. if you over watered the great white shark and white rhino the roots may of rotted a little and slowed growth. My 2 cents

It's early but have you checked your PH levels in your soil? While growing in soil you want a PH of 6.5,anything lower or higher can cause your plants to lock out your nutes and cause your leafs to turn yellow and later die and fall off. Your two bottom leafs on the shark are fine to turn yellow but if your other fan leafs start turning yellow check your PH. You can get a meter anywhere from $8-$80. I would at least buy the $25-$30 auto meters, the $8 powder mixes are pretty much useless.
