First Grow.... Any suggestions?

Pretty crazy LST you got going there eh? I don't see any ties or hooks. Did you just kick it over??? hah

I am no expert, but that does not seem like it will benefit the plant in any way. The plant is spending too much of its energy trying to hold itself up. The fact that it has a disproportionately large stalk reinforces this assumption.

I would try just the topping technique next time and compare the results. Good luck on the harvest!

Good Idea, That will definatly help, if you start from the begining next time with a more high pwered light like a 400 MH, then switch to the hps when you want to flower, youll problebly produce a hell of alot more, and It might even be a little bit more potent.

Let us know what the final product looks like, so far I give you props! most people are too scared to play around with training like that, but hey it seems to work for ya

I never did like those compact florescents, they dont produce that many lumens, I hate em but I understand that the big boy lights are rediculously expensive nowdays. Try going to www.htgsupply.com , they have a grat selection of 400 watt lights for under $150 bux and they have just about everything else you could problebly ever need. theyre cheap and honest, I give them my business and theyve never done me wrong.

400 Watt HPS, shipped out the door with nice ballast 10 foot cord, reflector, and the bulb for $125, cant beat it
