Default any one use tomato plant food as nuts? what will happen if I grind the plant food up

Hey,
just like the title says. I have tomato plant food 5-10-10 and I don't how long the food takes to brake down and give the plants nuts. I have taken the time and grind the plant food to a dust like (powder) plant food.

can this hurt my plants? I'm in the flowering stage 4th day now. i just have been giving them water but i know they need more.

any info will help.

I use liquid tomato plant food and if you want to see what my stuff looks like just look in my bud pics post.

As to grinding up solid nutes you must check first to see if it a slow release food because if it is you will most likely kill your plants from doing it as the feed is designed to dissolve slowly over a period of time grinding it up will possibly and probably make it dissolve far to quickly and either kill your plant or make it nute burnt

If they were large lumps then they are slow release.
There are many products out there, the only ones that i have ever used is miracle grow and tomorite so i cant recommend any of the others as i haven't used them before.

I have had great results with these products but if you want a more advanced nutrient then you'll have to ask around a bit more

Tomorite is really good, cheap food and CAN be used all the way through. For cheap flowering nutes use a rose bloom food-many brands all widely available and low cost.

Money. Big Man Nutes, Big Man Money. Not everyone can afford it, esp plus P+P if there is no Hydro store local.

I have used only one type of tomato food on ganja plants...MG tomato fert. (18-18-21)
If not used in too strong of a dilution it works fine. 1/4 to 1 tsp per gallon of water depending on environmental conditions. I used it for veg stage only.
It is very inexpensive and will certainly produce fat sticky potent buds.
I always flushed the soil thoroughly one week or so before harvest...the buds taste great. I think problems arise with chemicals ferts due largely to using too much, in too strong of a dilution.
I would not claim that the MG is optimum, but it is truly effective.

I got the idea to use MG tomato a long time ago in a grow book by Jorge Cervantes... (If I remember correctly around '83 or '84?)
