Default is it ok to cut off fan leaves during flowering?

Is it ok to remove fan leaves that are blocking buds from getting light? I am 4 weeks into flowering, I had a couple plants veggings at a friends house and he didnt have a fan oscillating so the now that im flowering the stems are weak and lanky and some are resting on the buds, is it ok to cut them off, they are also the ones blocking the light?

Just take the cola and push it throught the fan leaves, like wedging it at the bottom of the bud.

Very true also at the end of the bloom cycle the plant will start to withdraw energy from the biggest fan leaves with will be used in the buds.. So try not to cut as much as possible, Only cut to get your plant a good structure.. But thats in the beginning...

Photosynthesis cannot and will not happen without those fan leaves...meaning, your plant will wither and die!

thanks for the advice everyone, I was pretty sure that the fan leaves were neccesary but there are like 2 or 3 that are really lanky and rested is every single one neccesary? I dont tihnk cutting 2 or 3 at most will affect the plants health ( although it might), I am more concerned with wether or not cutting those leaves are stressful and will lead to hermaphodism.

move them, tie it somehow so light can reach where you want it to. Be creative
