Ok it's a bit welfare but I just wanted to see if I could do it... I'm going to attempt to upload or post a few pics of day 1 and one of day 30.
I started them with 24/7 light on sept. 26th and it is now oct. 25th
I bought a timer for my lights and have had them on 20/4 since oct. 15th or so.
*(ive noticed with the 4 hours they have exploded in growth, maybe its just the normal growth though)*
the first pic is about 3 days after I hooked up the lights, prior to being under 2 6500k t12 40watt flouros they were just under 2 cfl 6500k 23watters. i was expecting only a few to germ so i did about 45 seeds and 25* lived so I have more than I expected
the low down: I've planted them in some soil made by a local bio farmer, he also does some of this type of gardening so hes helping me out too. The seeds: they are bagseed from my mother, she says they are afgani and blueberry... she got it from a friend that had a male plant sprout up while he was on vacation and didn't notice so it made the rest seed.
So really I don't know what I've got growing name wise, I'm hoping that later on down the road here I can upload some more and we can figure it out.
the room: just a downstairs bedroom, 10x10 with 6ft ceilings, small space.
if you see something that needs to be fixed post and ill tell you what ive done.
the lights are on a pully system i raise them right to the ceiling when im taking pics or watering.
the lights produce 3000 lumens each and I only have 2 right now so 6000ish , I just went and bought another ballast and a new shop light so I can add 4 new lights. (i bought 4 6500k daylight 48" tubes so i can move them into bigger pots)
I wasn't expecting much to grow at first, I didnt know how old the seeds were that I was given, so I just threw them all onto a plate with wet paper towel and on top of the fridge for 3 days and bam 35 or so germinated and out of that 25 survived lol.
out of the 25 that are growing now I was hoping maybe half to be female, but again I'm not sure what I will get out of them
I have been watering them with a special mix called EM, its some sort of "Effective Microorganisms" I have to give it to him though, i left for 5 days and they were all pretty small and i came back and he had watered them only with the EM and they had gained 2 inches... he swears by the stuff and it didnt kill the plants so ill keep using it lol. has anyone else heard of EM?
