I have a plant that is about 7 inches tall. It has seven nodes and i wanted to flower (not looking for a big yield). I put it into 12/12 light and switch to a 8-59-9 fertilizer. It's been a week or so and no sex sign yet!!! whats going on??

You should wait until the plant is a 12 inches until you can determine sex and start flowering. On my 1st grow I had the lights on 24/07 and then I had no power for 1 day with the plants around 12 inches the next day pistils were everywhere 3 out 3 girls

Can take a few weeks to get going be patient

Alot of the time you wont be able to determine the sex of your plant until it is in flower

its in pre-flowering and males pre-flower earlier giving you time to hack them and then you can put your females back into veg time

thats odd, even if it was preflowering it should take at least 3-5 days to explode with pistils all over.
original poster, dont worry, it can take a week or two if it wasnt mature and showing preflowers b4 forcing flowering. light leaks will cause it not to flower,fyi if you still have the no sex showing problem in a week or 2.

I think I had power cuts in the nights while I was sleeping 2 days prior to the 24 hour power cut

um ya it took about 20 days for mine (2.5 weeks old) to show pistils...

i started 12/12 on 2 2.5 week old plants 21 days ago and they just started showing the signs.

it takes a while if u flower them while they are not mature.
