ok .. so this is the plan.
I have a closet with these dimensions ..
Length 3 feet 1 1/2'' ; Width 2 feet 3'' ; Height 6feet.
I think this is enough room to grow .. but Im unsure how many I can grow ?
Also , light recommendations for the size ?
I have about 600 dollars for the whole project so Im on a tight budget .

is that enough room ?
will a hydro set up be affordable/practical ?
should I use CFLs ?
I want to produce some semi decent buds.

150 hps would fit in there, they dont put off too much heat, but you would still need some sort of exhaust... hydro can be built cheap, check out the DIY section, affordable and practical.

yaaa I know it sounds weird.
but its more of like .. a shelf thing .. (im turning it into a closet)
so adding a vent system would def. be easy to do considering there is no roof atm lol .
how many plants would a 150 watt support ?

heres my setup 11 cfl's in a closet with dimensions close to yours. just to give you an idea of a cfl setup. really cheap but with 600 dollars id go with a Metal Hallide bulb. and a hid for flowering. Energy costs will be higher with these systems as opposed to cfls. My plants are doing great under these cfls.

You have options, a CFL 250w or a 125w to 250w metal hallyde or high pressure sodium.

No matter what you are going to need a fan at least exausting the air from the closet, The closet door while you are exausting air will pull through, most closets are not air tight.

Soil is the cheapest.

Do not forget to get a thermometer!

That's something that is debatable. My soil cost more than some peoples HPS setups.

I would definetly go with atleast a 150 hps or 250 hps and get some fans in there and you could probaly get 5 or 6 females in there
