Hi I am new to indoor growing and had a few questions... I have a room setup about 6 long x 3 ft wide x 8 ft tall and I have 5 plants in there. I use a 400 wat MH and a 150 watt HPS i had sitting around. Now my question is am I able to add a couple more plants without effecting my over-all yield per plant? I am assuming the more plants I add the smaller the yield but will 1-2 extra really effect the others? four clones of blue dream and 1 querkle i have directly under the 150 watt hps.. I am planning on lining the walls with mylar asap

Any pics? 150 sounds small, with or without the 1 or 2 extra plants. To help with light penetration, maybe you can add 2' Fluorescent tubes or some cfl's on the sides to give your plants some added light without pulling too much power?

or get a conversion bulb for that MH and then you can flower with 550 watts hps rock on

im sticking with the 5 plants then.. will the plants be effected negitivly for using a 400 mh and also a 150 hps at the same time side by side? all four plants are directly under the 400 watt with the one querkle half under the mh and half under the 150 (that justs how they fit).. I'm expecting the blue dream to shoot up in height while the querkle lags behind under the 150 hopefully making up for loss of the mh light.. Also curious on how much you think I can yield per plant in the end. Thanks I''ll try to get pics later tonight..


I am also interested in having lights installed on the sides so the lower end is on the right track any suggestions on light combos? Im on a budget with both elctricity and cash for lights need the best value for my dollar.

yeah, nice website great prices. That's where the 150 watt came from thing is still brand new never got to use it.. they had some of the "HTG Supply 4 Foot 2 Lamp High Output T5 Fixture" for $60 before shipping was thinking about getting two of those but im sure I could build one or have one laying around from the garage.. Same thing different light bulb im assuming?

Walmart has Fluorescent fixtures for under 10 bucks and I bought 2 T8 bulbs at Home Depot for under 8 bucks which I added to my 600 watt hps fixture. Im sure the output of the T5 is alot higher but for $18 total, what the hell!?

scratch the first idea. Through out the 150 watt hps and put in two more 400 watt hps bulbs in a dual fixture... should have a good yield

Watch your temps in there.

highest it got all day was 70* so if anything it could get a little warmer
