I'm going to be using a 10.5' x 5.5' closet as a grow room.

I'm going to likely have the plants on a card table and have an HPS/MH light hanging from the ceiling.

Do I still need to confine the plants to a smaller boxed area with a reflective coating inside or can I just keep them on the table somewhere in the room?

Will too much light be lost from the HPS without reflective walls for it to bounce back off of? The walls are flat white, but they would be a good 2'+ from the plants.
