Hey People I'm New to the forum and my first post is actually going be Mine and A buddy's Stealth Grow. The location is in my basement, I read "PONTIAC'S" D.I.Y and it was just a project that is a must to try LOL. It is Not a HYDRO set up though. It will be a soil grow, because Its going be Almost undetectable by any normal Goof lol.
We Bought some KC-36 as our first grow as i read it's an okay Strain and they were cheap.. and i want to get a feel for the whole growing experience... And get better, Then i we'll spend more money on seeds...



Removing The Drawers..



Removed The insides of the drawers...Leaving Only The Faces...



I Noticed There was some light shining through some of the drawer faces I got some laminate floor insulation and cut strips to attach with double sided tape 3M. I pressed it in the corners with a card and it attached itself nicely with the silicone I used. It's a bit diff from what I've been reading but im doing it with my touch..



In this picture ull See we went NUTS with silicone we put it EVERYWHERE and a bit messy too but this will be covered with Mylar anyway.



The insulation finished...No more leaks of light through the front.



The Last thing I did for today was tape it all up. I used 2 different sizes of Painters 3M tape I Have Tons of it that's why I used it. The next step is get some Mylar, HPS lighting Kit... CHECK BACK SOON FOR MORE UPDATES!!!


I need some opinions on if I should do Strait Soil with nutrients or Pro mix.???? THnx

pro-mix, started with some bullshit potting soil and after about a month i had tons of fungus gnats and my plants looked like shit, i switched to pro-mix and it made all the difference in the world, i just used straight promix but you can mix some ammendments into it if you want. That dressers pretty slick put up some pics of the finished product when its done. I dont know for sure but that might be a bit small for HPS they put off a good amount of heat. i got a 400 HPS in 4x4x6.5 tent with a couple fans goin and its hard to keep under 80, good luck bro, keep growin good dope.

im trying the same thing but just on a more micro scale of this and ALL stealth but id say dont use those HPS they give off too much heat unless u install a proper venting system then it should be fine besides that im suscribed hope anyone checking this will check my stealth dresser i need A SHIT LOAD of infomation on it plaease post on mine and i hope u succeed along with me brotha

Should i Go With Multiple CFL's Then?????? Lower Kelvin Cfls For Flowering And Higher For Vegg.????All your comments and tips are greatly appreciated...

I grow in a similiar sized set up....area is about the same...you can use a 150watt hps you just need to have good venting.

Like i said i'm around the same size and i use 150watt hps with some supplemental cfls.....

i get good bud....a lot more than when i was just using cfls. CFL's just are not enough to get it done unless you are perfect.

im not on either side cuz i havent EVER actually grew becuz im jsut starting but i know from reading forums like this and other sites that cfls work about the same if u put the same amount of moey into them for example: if u buy a 250w HPS for say $150(not sure the real price) and put that money into cfls in another grow room then ull have more lumens per foot for the cfls ovbisly but the HPS buds will probly be more dense/ weight more but the cfls could be good becuz u can put them soo close to the plant without burning it and put it under and around the plant even in the end both are about the same putting in to account ur sending more money on a HPS/ spending more money for denser buds then u have to install a venting system (time + money) and cfls are wayyyy cheaper and much money easier to move around/position

I would say don't go for an hps just pick up like 4 45watt 6500k CFLs and 2-4 23watt 2700k CFLs, but that all depends on how many plants your goina grow. The lights i just listed could cover 2-3 plants. But if you went hps it would get hot and it would be hard to vent a stealth grow which defeats the whole stealth aproach.

dude, i would invest in some pc fans and install them near the top to take out heat and stail air. a couple near the bottom wouldn't hurt for bringing in some fresh air. light seeping in and out may become a problem though. good luck i will be checking in on this.
