Hey i am trying to grow 5 seeds i germinated a few days ago i planted them when they cracked open an grew that little white bit so they will grow.. anyway i have them in a little polystyrine box under a flurocent light it has been 3 days an iv noticed the soil is starting to grow little hairs is this to humid or what? what do i needa to do from here thanks

The little white bit is the taproot. Sounds like you could have a ventilation problem - get some air movement with a fan.

It's either too humid, you're watering too much, or you don't have any air circulation. I'd bet it's a combination of all three of those things.

1. Water only when the soil is completely dry all the way through

2. get a fan to blow on your plants. This will improve airflow and help strengthen the stems.

ok sweet thanks, it has no ventilation because they havnt even sprouted yet but yeah ill get some air flowing through it an i have only waterd them once since iv planted them
