Would it benifit the plants if you have lighting shining from the floor as well so that light gets to the bottom of the plant? I was thinking more in the case of a grow box and placing some CFLs down there when flowering. Would this do anything, adding any extra light is good but is it better than adding those extras above the plants?

This is my 1st grow, i am setting up a 300w mv wonerlite from top and 2 125w fluorescents coming from eack side, Im hoping it works good

Yeah, I did the math on that. Its not cost effective. You will get only marginally better plants, that in my opinion, aren't worth the cost of power and lights.

so light from bottom = not better?

No. The plants aren't capable of absorbing light from the undersides of the leaves. Now, directional and/or side lighting is EXTREMELY beneficial.
