| | Spider Mites! | | So I got the mite! Ok, so it looks like neem oil mixed with some plain liquid soap is the weapon of choice. But I did not see any talk about how this affects the quality of smoke when sprayed directly onto a flowering plant. Does anyone have some tips out there that you are willing to share? 60% of my veg plants are infested, and I just transfered a batch to the flower room 1 week ago. I see one plant that is in the flower room that has the mite, and 2 more that show signs that mites have been on them before. I plan on attacking them within 24 hours once I get a plan and supplies... I look forward to reading some replies in the morning! |

| | Wow I was expecting a few more replies then 2! What's up? Anyone use ladybugs to kill off these little pests before? I would rather not use a chemical on flowering plants if I can get away with it...Of course I read the FAQ, but does any elder out there have some more suggestions that can help with this... |

Lady bugs will help but they end up cooking themselves on the lights. If I remember right you dont want to use neem oil when they are budding. I used a few doctor doom bombs and garden safe for fruits and veg. They have pyrethrins in them. Your best bet it to keep the temps as cold as you can. Have lots of wind. And use an aresenal of pyrethrins. They wont just go away with a one time treatment. I would say 2-3 weeks of bombing every 3-4 days. If you do bomb shut everything off for 24 hrs. No wind or a/c.

| | Thanks guys, I am in full production SOG and don't really want to slow down at this point! So I think I am going to have to use a spray, I am looking at Green Light fruit and tree spray, SM 90, neem, and einstien oil and penetrator. I will keep the fans disturbing them for the next few hours and then they are going to get hit with a BIG bat! Knock them across to the east coast! So look out over there! Thanks again for the replies! |
