Default Metal Halide with HPS Ballast??

I currently have a 250 watt HPS light with ballast. Would it be ok to order a 250 watt metal halide to use with the same ballast? Want a little more light for veg.

You'd have to get a conversion bulb unless you have a switchable ballast, or one of those fancy digital ones.

just what he said except i bought the conversion bulb because my ballast had no switching thing. works good. mine was a 600w tho good luck.

ya you cant use one ballast for two lights....just get your mh with a ballast

I agree with somEguy1, I'd just get a 250 MH system to veg with, and use them both in flower.
