fine tuning an indoor grow room

looking for sum input on humidity and temp.on my 1st grow(master kush) the temp avg approx 80 degrees and the humidity ranged from 45 w/the light on to 70 w/the lights out.i ended up with a $1200 light bill and stringy stress like smoke.i now have a crop white widow(dont want anymore $1200 stress,lol).ive added a dehumidifier to the mix that maintains a constant humidity of approx 40-45 rh.(this is the levels ive read the flower room should be at)my new problem is the humidifier adds alot more heat to the room(with the lights on and the dehumifier on the room now reaches around 90-93 degrees).is this temp to high for flowering?the difference in temp w/lights on and off is about 10-14 degrees.can any of mt fellow cultivators tell me if im good or need to make sum changes.also has anyone used CO2BOOST and should i use it to add co2.last but not least can i reroute my vent pipe from my natural gas water heater into the flower room to add co2 or is it too much co2???thanks to all for any insights and fat sticky buds for everyone

You rlight bill was 1200? How many lights do you have...

That is incredible.... I have seen 800 dollar bills running 7000 watts...

(0 degrees is to high for flowering .... invest in air flow and get the liughts close to your plants... If you have stringy buds I am assuming that you are not getting enough light..

You need HPS lights to be 6-12 inches from your plant canopy and to do this you need outstanding ventilation pulling th eheat up and away from you rplants and ideally out of the room.. You can get NEW fresh cool air by running a passive line from your crawl space or basement into your grow room...

Are you pH ing your water... this is vital...

my electric bill was 800 a month before I even started my grow room... hasn't gone up much since... I think people are stealing my electrisity

How many TVs do you have and computers

you need to turn down your freezer, turn off your heat or ac unless it is helping your grow.... you need to unplug your TV, change all the bulbs in your house to lower wattgae CFL bulbs, turn down your water heater.. etc....

I am guesing that you leave in AZ or something and your AC is always on cause it is so FOOKING hot outside?

hey knowm,thanks for the info.2-1000wt hps(flowerroom)2-400wt mh(vegroom)1 250 wt(mothers)3-4 bulb t-5s(clones)san francisco,ca prices=$1200(i should note that is total lighting grow cost(veg and flower).my hoods do not have venting or glass so i keep them approx. 24-30 inches above the canopy.as for the water it is always ph'd at approx6.0.i do have exhaust fans(no intake,but there is an opening w/a fan infront to draw in fresh air.inside are 4 osculating fans along with the fan on the dehumidifier.im taking sum pic's know and will post them in a few.

Well when I moved here 11 years ago my bill way 500... and I asked a cousin who lives in a mantion like house with 6 airconditioners how much theirs was and they said it was like 250 300 so Yea... back then the only apliences I really used were 2 refrigerators one was on the lowest setting in the garage... no computers 2 T.V.s and thats about it... Air conditioning in summer... I live in NYC so weather isn't that crazy in the summer... and my landloard pays heating...
Now I have 1 computer and Ac and 2 T.V. that are on 24/7 and one comp thats on sometimes and other Acs that arent on as often... only one frige now... 2 times the bill...
I finaly got Con ed to come over hear but I was sleeping and gave the phone to a friend who told them I had no problems and didn't need anything... So yea I'm scrued

Hey Vicious...

I saw a house in Walnut Creek that was running 7000 watts... all other appliances were turned off (no freezer, no tv, no computers).... it was 7000 watts + 9 hydro pumps... 10 fans and a few air pumps... Plus regular house lighting...

The PG and E bill was between 600 and 800 a month....

I am thinking you can turn everything off in your house.. EVERYTHING and then go to your meter and see if it is still spininnng.. is this an option for you? If it is still spinning fast, then you have a drain somewhere that needs to be addressed.. I wonder what your neighbors electricity bill is?

A 1000 watt bulb i the city should really only be 40-80 dollars a month extra... I think ???

Although, with all the other lights and stuff you are running.. I am starting to see that your bill maybe/could be CORRECT

Can you put the ocilating fans between your plants and the lights.. pointed slightly up and then lower the lights closer to the foliage (without burning it of course) ???
