alright i usually see people doing either or.

but i use both methods.. havent really seen anyone trying this besides me but then i havent really been looking for it.

question is.. does anyone else do this? why or why not?

In trying both now only to see what one is best for the future and what i prefair
Some people say to topp some say to tie (lst)
Im happy with the way the plant goes topping but i think i,ll just stick to lst
or mybe topp then tie once it spreads out

i do both, check out my plant. i topped at the third node and about a week b4 i put it into flower i started tiein down all the main tips and it filled in so nice. my results gave me 2 huge main cola's 2 and about another 10 smaller ones. lol alot of people like to say my plant lookes like a bonzai. but i guess its really jsut prefference. i would base my choice on the grow space u have available. the way i look at it is both are good ways to improve ur yeild so why not do them both.

I prefer to LST only because it takes an extra week for the plant to recover before the growth continues when you top it. Check out my plant.

i topped my plant two days ago and i had new growth this morning....

Sorry I guess I should have said "usualy" but that is still two days of very little growth where when you only LST there is no days lost. Ofcourse if time is not an issue then you could top and LST for several months and end up with large bush with hundreds of budd sites. It realy is a matter of preference.

what size of pot are you using ? id luv to have space to grow with them

I also thought the same as u that it will slow the growth when u top but the plant i top just did the oppisite and is swelling and spreading out stright away like its some sort of deffence or to protect it self or somthing its nice
I still think lst looks and grows better and your going to have all them muti cholas anyway just from tieing and training

I have a 3.5 gallon bucket that I am using. my grow space is very small too It is only 25wX16dX37h. I agree the plant reacts differently from topping it comeback more vigorus with attitude almost saying "Try and kill ME!!"
