Ok i need a air coolable reflector and am thinking of getting a cool tube with the wing kit. What are your opions on the cool tube?

I think they are outrageously expensive and I prefer to make my own using pyrex bread baking tubes, which usually cost $20 rather then $200.

but what is it exactly that you want to know?

what are they,pyrex bakeing tubes and were do you get them.

look up pyrex tube on ebay, there's usually an auction for a few every day.

it's a basically just the glass part of a cool tube, originally intended for baking bread in but easily converted to a light cooling system.

I got one a couple weeks ago. I like it so far. The ability to hang it vertically or horizontally is a pretty cool feature. It did drop my room by 3 degrees. gl in getting what you want..

I have a 600w model with wings. Pretty nifty, and no easier way to cool the joint in my opinion.

love my 600w room stays cool with the fan running u can hang them anyway u want to not bad in the price got mine for 129. came compete.

i take it back, I got the kool tube comp. and two bulbs with the dig. ballast and the fan and the lite hangers for 349. as a kit online. think i will get the same set up for 1200 lite output. but you can get just the cool tube for 129 online. these lites don't get hot u can touch them and put them on top of your plants and not burn them. but u have to use the fan on the end of it to blow the air though it.

I'm a DIY guy,,so I bid on a bread tube,,and that is finished in 7 hours,,see if I get it for 10 bucks
