Default Would you prune or thin these little bushes?
These mother plants are 2 1/2 months old and I decided to flower them under a 1000watt hps with 8 other smaller clones in a 4x4x6 1/2 high box. The strains are Cheese, White Widow, Himalaya Gold and Afgan Kush and they are all in 5 gal growbags.

They were switched to 12/12 on august 12th. They are quite bushy and about 22" tall, 3"-4" taller than on aug 12. I still have 40" to the top of plant to the top of the box.

Would they do better if I cropped them or thinned them out somehow? I've always tied down my plants in my smaller, 400watt, box but haven't messed with cropping before?

Any advice would be appreciated...
Thanks

Just start training them to go where you want them to go. If that is up then cool. If it means you want them to go sideways then that is cool too. It looks like you have a good amount of room to work with. I would LST as much as possible.

Thanks for your response, I have done alot of lst before because I only had 45" of height and a 400 watt light. I have 6'6" and a 1000 watt so I'm not worried about height to much.

I was talking more like pruning down to a few main branches instead of 20 or so smaller ones.
