hears whats up organics fuck hydro you ever seen a 80pound pumpkin come out of some hydro or a 12 pound tomato no you haven't cause whats up is the bacteria in soil in breaks down organic matter into different substances like vitamins and nutrients every once in a while you ll get just the right bacteria making the right vitamins and bam shit happens i make all my own soil and fertilizers and im yield is twice as much as my friends with the same lights setup just my soils better than his you know the right soil and nu tents make all the diffencr plus ditch your hood on your lights and put your light right next to the plants with no hood the light can be 6 inches away from the plant and with Mylar lights is reflected back so your whole room is know your hood think about i know a cat how drops a 1000 between 4 plants the light is in the middle of the room at plant level and the plants surround it he gets a pound per plant

You have some things right in your post and you have some very ignorant comments. For you to think that you cant get amazing yeilds via hydroponics is soooooo wrong. The biggest advantage of hydroponics over soil is the fact that you can control EVERYTHING. Sorry to break it to ya but your "magic" soil that you have won't out produce someone who has a great hydro set-up and knows what they are doing. There are so many factors that contribute to high yeilds. First of which is the strain. All strains will put out different yeilds and even some strains with different phenos will produce differently for each phenotype. Second is how much light gets to each bud site. IMO the best way to get high yeilds with out have a large number of plants, is to use an LST method or SCROG. You want to veg the plants longer using these methods but instead of them getting really tall you make them really wide and even. This way there are more colas created and they all recieve equal amounts of light. If you let a plant grow straight up and you only have one light on top of them the fan leaves and other branching will block light from reaching other bud sites. (your top colas will still grow nicely) Sumherbplease was right about using Mylar tho. Using reflective materials or even flat white walls will help prevent wasted light. One last major effect on yeilds, is the stress the plant goes through during its life. Burning the plants at anytime during flowering will lower yeilds. The same goes with temps being too high/low, ph being too high/low, and humidity being too high/low. The more energy the plant has to use to recover from stresses the less energy the plant has to make bigger flowers. (hopefully that makes sense). Ah one last pointer. Not sure what size pots you are using but, the more room the roots have the bigger they will get which means they can absorb and use more nutrients.

What up all ? I like the yield talk, cause im getting close to finding out what im going to get. I have noticed a big difference using LST compared to just letting them grow straight up. I vegged for over a month and they were turned when they were about a foot and a half tall. Now they are between 3 and 4 foot tall and have a lot of bud sites. Ive herd ill yield at least 4 oz per plant. But the way they look now I think ill do better than that. Well i guess ill find out here pretty soon. Here are two pics of same plant using LST... Peace

lookgood, but its still kinda early to guess yield w/any real accuracy.the last 2 weeks are where it really packs on the weight.

running 5x600w and 2x 400's I got 5.75LBS of 4 plants. I now base this as my minimum.

growing GDP i can pull 3+ every 9 weeks off 1600 watts. with 16 plants in a vertical setup like the mighty flojo's

Sounds right for a plant indoors at 5ft. If your growing 5 footers, stay outside

the bigger the plant does not always mean more bud. These are false statements.

and a 5ft plant indoors... is typically gonna end with a small yield, unless its an experienced grower. Because as we all know.... your gonna have to do something about lighting it correctly.

An ounce a day would be amazing haha... i am doing my first grow soon and have been trying to research alot on Scrog or lst growing for it as i am growing super lemon haze and will be growing indoors ina limited area, dont have the cash at this point for a hydro setup so i am just using soil for now. any good info on best brands and types of nutes to increase yields would be great! people have been saying that they are onl y getting around 50g indoors off of SLH but i have not heard of anyone using yield enhancing techniques such as lst or scrog for it yet so if anyone has done this with SLH it would be great to hear.
