Default Seizing Rental Houses
If someone is busted in a house that they are renting from someone else who has no idea that there is a grow op in the house they own, is it likely that the house will be seized, along with the crop?

No as long as the owner can show he knew nothing you should be fine....there is a fine line...

Also the cops don't want it if it has a mortagage on it.. .Then they have to deal with the bank...they ain't got enough money to fight the banker

Well even if they dont take your house, the hydro company can come and take out your meter because the home was used as a grow op, and then it will cost you money to have the hydro company re-install the meter.

The Owner can put a 250 depoit down and get a new meter unless the water was in the owners name during the grow op. Most landlords want the renter to put the water in their name from the start. So the owner can go and get a new one...
