Ok, so I admit I was checking up on your habits in general, but personal issues aside, you might want to consider the heat issue a little more if you've had a quality cfl burn out.. Heat is the cause of the VAST majority of cfl failures, and swapping to hps will make it much worse.. Furthermore, a cfl can withstand alot more heat than a plant can, you may be on a one way street to toasted tops, or even a house-fire if what I'm assuming is indeed correct.. I'd highly advise you to monitor the temperature 'at the canopy', and add some decent ventilation..
