i have fox farm ocean forest and miracle grow perlite. how much perlite should mix into the soil.

add a little at a time and when you get to the point when you can squeeze the soil in your hand and have it spring back but not crumble. Thats a sign of a good soil for mj.

I don't know Fox Farm soil, I use ProMix myself, try 5% then go to 10% by volume if you need to. From what I know Fox Farm is great stuff (Hard to get near me, only thing from Fox Farm I DON'T use) so you shouldn't need much. Put some is a plastic cup with a hole on the bottom and pour water in, if it drains easily without compacting much you should be fine.

I have always used a 20% perlite mix when using FF.
