Nope never prune in flower....needs leaves for photosynthesis....bend fan leaves to expose buds but never cut, it will indeed stress the plant and reduce your yield...Took every science class and excelled in horticulture....never cut....just bend or tie back... I think this is sound advice....But is there times when the benefits of trimming off-sets the stress put on plants when trimmed during flowering? Imagine a flood tray filled to the brim with a lanky sativa, all fighting to get there branches to the top of the canopy. Will the energy used to grow longer branches take some percentage of bud growth? I feel that in some cases, that if done properly, "slowly" maybe taking some shade leafs during flower may be beneficial to make a plant more mature through out the whole plant.... |
