:) Shower Grow... First Indoor Grow veg-flwr

Hi everyone, Its been a while since ive been on here. Decided to try indoor this year due to the damage and Bud-rot I got from the rains last time. Please, I am open to all suggestions, pointers and constructive criticism. right... so here we go...

As for the grow room, I converted an old concrete shower into the grow space (3'x4' approx). I am using an air cooled 400W MH in a med-lg reflector, 6" ducting, 350 cfm squirrel cage fan, (making the air filter this week) Pro-mix soil, Organic tea (guano/horse), the plants are planted in 8" pots to be moved over to 3 gal pots for flowering. I got the seeds from a local grower, non-feminized mixed. Started 15 plants on the 1st of June...Ok i think thats a basic run down of what i got. Here are a couple shots of the setup at 10 days old, and a shot of the "girls"... hopefully.

They seem to be doing nicely. Started them on the organic Tea just over a week ago and they have really taken off... Fimmed 2 of them to see how the harvest would compare to an untampered plant. Looks like I got quite a nice mix of variety in the bag of seeds here. No complaints.. just waiting on the male ratio now. I want to ideally flower 8 plants in this room so I compensated by planting twice that.. so either way i have to get rid of some.

Anyways, heres the update:

in your first picture i see two vents going out the window BUT i only see one inside the grow room.....where is the other one feeding from? why not just connect the two together for a real cooltube?

Thanks Tom, No wasnt planning on using anything other than the teas... I mixed a bit of the Bat guano in with the soil but other than that just teas.. well unless it doesnt work out the way I want. Ive done outdoor grows before (veg inside a cab) with just teas that seem to work out fine. so trying it again indoors this time. Im using a couple types of manure in the tea along with molasses and later ill add potash for flowering. But yah thats about it.

SirBud. The 2 ducts on the window are for air exchange one in and one out. I didnt want to connect them to each other because there is no other air coming into the room so... the exhaust starts at the light and out the window (top duct) and the incoming air is brought in by relative pressure with assistance from the fan at the top of the grow area blowing back down over/through the plants. (2nd pic) Thinking behind this was so the plants will have constant access to fresh air throughout the room. I am in the process of adding a cylindrical filter before the light for any smells.... I hope this makes sense...

So far so good.. I think.

How are they looking?

oh yeah here is the organic tea set up i have in the room... Gravity Fed.

Because I water every time with the tea I dont make it as strong as I would for a once a week watering. I also flush every weekend... only 1.5x the pot size though. Unless i see something starting to go wrong i don't want to wash away everything all the nutes. Sound ok?

BTW how long will a "batch" of organic tea be good for??? (with an airstone) Thanks

hey guys.. plants still doing ok. Gave a couple away and planted 2 outdoors the other day... made a little space for these to spread out. About time to move to bigger pots... think thats either gonna be tonight or tomorrow...

Some of them look like they could use a little more nitrogen in their diet. Other than that they look healthy as can be

Soo been having problems with my HPS light.. Started flowering 3 days ago under T5's while I was sorting out the HPS BS... anyways as TOM_420 suggested I upped the nutes.. I think it did them well +REP bro... Lost 2 or 3 yellow starter leaves but I'm sure its no biggie in the long run. On the plus side I have my first 2 girls out of the 13 showing hairs!! So on to the update.

Did a bit of change to the garden this week. pulled out the males and repotted the girls into 3 gal pots. Really noticed a growth spurt since 12/12. I'm left with 6 plants in the grow room.. which is perfect. I planted 3 hopeful females outdoors to continue to veg for a bit.. I'll see how they turn out with hurricane season this year. Last year I had all my outdoors in pots.. these are my first in-the-ground grows... which I'm not sure was a good move.. Had to haul my plants indoors twice for storms last year.

Anyways, among the 6 plants indoors I think one of them is a hermie...posted this plant before... it has 3 branches to a node...found that kinda weird... heres the link. https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/208951-lil-freak-3-leaves-node.html

I gonna let it go for a bit more and keep a close eye on it. If it is... what are my options with it??? this was just good bagseed. Looks like Im growing a couple sativas in here... hoping I dont run out of height....Oh well on with the pics for the update.

the first 3 images are of the pos hermie...

the rest are just updates of the plants and clones that were taken...(was just practicing cloning...I think Im just gonna leave them in the 12/12 and see what I get..

I used a nikon D300 with macro extension tubes for the lens..

Really need to know if the 1st 3 pics is a hermie or not.. never had one, not sure how they look, I know they'll have hair and balls (chuckle) but would like help... Please....
