Also, I'm using the pH drops to indicate pH level in a small vile after making my mix. Does the color of the added solubles make this test any less accurate? I noticed the water had a pinkish hue after adding the Open Sesame and am worried this tint might screw with the pH test.

i use the liquids at about 1/2 strength and the solubles 1/4 strength every other or every 3rd watering depending on what the plant needs. an plaim water for 1 or 2 waterings. i use sunshine mix.
i seem to be having better results this way.
