Using this 1000w without cooling could be a disaster in my size room (8'x7'x9') so I had to make this FREE light work for me.

Cut holes and add starting collar. EASY. Check it.

nice man. are you not concerned about the ballast being in the same room? lots of heat from that as well..

It is also in the hood and air cooled. We will have to see about the results. I'll keep you posted.

You do realize that prosecutors LOVE it when they find stolen equipment in a grow.. Its like freaking candy to them, it changes the whole ballgame legally..
You can buy those kits cheap at industrial electrical/lighting outfitters in your town for cash.. I used to get HPS and MH kits for like $50-60 unassembled without cords..

born2killspam, did you put those kits together yourself? were they hard to assemble? i want to try something like that it seems way cheaper but im concerned, doesn't the ballast put out alot of heat?

They're pretty simple.. Easier than a dvd-player anyways.. There are diagrams all over the site for what I did..

Just put the ballast in an enclosure outside the room.

It isn't stolen. A friend gave it to me from one of the warehouses he owns.
