I made the mistake of buying just a ballast kit and unfortuaely it didnt come with any instructions on how to wiring it. so if anyone has a clue how to wire a mogul base socket to a ballast as well as a ballast to the wall it would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the website where i found the ballast to the post 250W Venture Metal Halide Quad Tap CWA Ballast Kit @ Businesslights.com Thanks   |

Dude, i just about bought one of them but was a hps 250w plain ballast. I gave it back to the store and kept looking. looked to complicated for an amateur like myself/ good luck!!!!! |

Did it come with all the connectors/wires? If so this is the diagram.  U will only use 1 of the Voltage wires and tape off the rest. If U have any questions just post it up and I'll try to help. P.S. Can U post a pic of the supplied hardware.

Err I posted the wrong schematic; that is the one to a 250W HPS. Here is the sheet on yours: http://www.venturelighting.com/VLPS/...H/V90D6212.pdf K so heres the steps: 1. Leave the BLACK/WHITE wire to the CAP 2. connect all the WHITE wires together, Ballast Socket and Cord. 3. connect RED wire from the CAP to the BLACK wire on the Socket. 4. connect ORANGE wire on the Ballast (for 120VAC) to the BLACK wire on the CORD That'll do it. so i tried it the way you said to but i must be retarded and cant get it to work. here are some pics to show you how far ive got. If you or anyone can get this light to work it would make my life so much better!!! Thanks |
