would it be a good idea to grow with straight vermiculite, or vermiculite and perlite, also what sort of fertilizer should i use? i have some stuff called starter fertilizer, it is 20-27-5, will this be good? if so when should i put it in?

Straight vermiculite? NO

Go to a hydro store and buy a bag of any type of growing soil. Anything would be better than stright vermiculite.

Ask the people at the hydro store these questions that is why there are there.

If you try to cut corners and go WalMart here you will pay in the long run.

Throw your fertilizer away. Here's what you need:

Peter's "Jack's Classic" 20-20-20 for vegging.

Peter's "Jack's Classic Blossom Booster" 10-30-20 for flowering.

Use at 1/4 strength. Be sure to flush your plants completly before converting to the Blossom Booster.

i live with my mom, and she doesnt know about the operation, so i dont think i can order that, otherwise i would. but thanks for the info. i will try to find those numberss.

Can you order it through a friend? If so, do it ... these ferts are worth the effort.

Oh and by the way, depending upon where you live, you may be putting your Mom's home at risk. Here in the States, LEO just loves to confiscate property. Even if you are found innocent, a judge can rule that the property is guilty. I know it sucks, but that's the way it is.
