Yeah so its now summer, and its getting warm. fortunately I live in a place above 8000 feet and it rarely gets too warm. But we've had some record temps lately reaching 90!! Ouch! Well I keep the house set at 75 degrees, but the tent will climb to 85.5 sometimes 86.0. Jorge said plants can go into heat stress past 85. What should I do, tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 60s thank god. But for today, its a battle keeping that damn tent cool. I spray the foilage like every other hour to keep em cool. But I can't always be there to do this. Anyone? How do I keep my tent cool? I'm running a inline fan and carbon filter for exhaust and I have a box fan around the side of the tent for the intake. I don't think this is as effective as a blower squierelle fan would be. Perhaps should I get a duct fan? I'll attach a photo. + REP for intelligent help.

have u thought of maybe getting a super cheap yard sale air conditioner for the tent? or i saw these sorta stand up portable air conditioners that are like 80 bucks, not really large enough for a living room but should eb perfect for a tent. hell it even purifies the air too lol

I would attatch that filter right to the inline fan, doing away with that piece of hose. Any length of hose will restrict flow. Also, is that a reducer on the fan exhaust? If so, do away with it.

using a cooltube should help a bit
that fan with a filter on it would be a bit low on flow i reckon

Yeah I did consider one, but the window would have to remain open it looks like. I think they mount to the window which is no good. I have close by neighbors. Do you know if theres such thing as one that doesn't require being mounted in the window? Also, this is temporary. It RARELY ever gets this warm (90).

Yes I thought it was excessive to have all that hose. I will cut all the slack off it. Have the filter right to the fan, although I'm unsure what you mean by the reducer? I'll try cutting and monitoring the temps. Thanks Frosty + REPPP For you!

85 isnt the worst i did i grow that ranged between 85-92 one time and actually produced a decent amount of buds, they didnt taste like they should have but still grew. What kind of light are you using, if it is an hps then i would suggest i cooltube.

yeah i bought one for my grandfather lol and for my uncles grow but his is an entire room. they sell them at walmarts and they are air purifiers but if u look at one thats oval shaped it says theres a built in air conditioner. im sitting next to a large version of it. draws air from the inside cools it somehow and all u gotta do is dump the water out of it every day

Paddy its only a 400 watt MH light for now. I have the option for a 600 HPS during flower, but fuck.. Too hot in that tent. I may roll with 400HPS. Thanks for the reply!
