hello everyone, im pretty new to posting around here but have been browsing these fourms for a while now well anyway a while back me and a buddy of mine found a setup design on here and desided to build it and see what we could get out of it! in total we spent aorund 75$ and wernt really exspecting much since we didnt really know the first thing about growing other then what we read on here heh.

heres a few pics of the setup, we used 2 Rubbermaid containers(i think 8gallon) and lined the entire inside with reflective tape. for the lights we had 3 17watt and 3 42watt CFLs(pretty sure it was right around 11.5k lumens)

k now for the bud. we didnt want to buy seeds because it was our first grow and didnt want to end up wasting 70$ on seeds we would have probably germinated wrong so we used bagseed lol. as for nutes we just got some stuff from home depot for the veg and bloom burst for the flowering, cant remember the name of the stuf right now.

i lost my early pics so the earlyest i have is about 7-8 weeks into flowering. the other picture is about 12-14 weeks flowering. i dont know if its just me or is that really slow? im thinking we probably didnt have enough light in there.

it seems like alot of the lower bud sites didnt fill out at all really. im not to sure what it was from but my guess would be lack of lighting. in total i think its going to be right around an oz dried. seems like alot of work for so little but it was a fun experience and were talking of making a better stealthy setup but using a 250watt hps this time aorund!

any comments appreciated, would kinda like to know if im on the right track for what i did wrong. thanks for looking

i forgot to ask a question last night when i posted which was my whole reason for putting this on here lol.

the buds just smell like plant, they really dont have a sent to them. i was wondering will they start smelling like weed/tase like it after i dry and cure for a while?

when you start to flower they will start to smell. but all you need is a carbon filter like this one DIY Carbon Filter

im already done flowering and chopped her down. when the bud sites were on the plant later into flowering they smelled sweet and like weed but now that ive cut/trimmed and started drying it just smells like a plant(cutgrass).

maybe a low quality of weed... not real potent

def one of the reasons it doesnt smell real potent cuz its just bagseed but can anyone confirm that it gets its real smell/taste after curing? also i dont know the truth in this but i read that unless its grade A weed it wont really get you that high till you cure it, can anyone confirm this?

untrue about curing it making it smell because it should smell if you have budded it
it is proberly a low grade of cannabis you will find out when you smoke it
plus its your own home grown so it should taste even better
