Default Tricky Closet Ventilation Set-Up
So i am about to set up my closet grow tomorrow and i am fully prepared on every aspect of growing except ventilation. I included three pictures of where my grow is going. It is in a 6'x2'x8' sliding glass closet space in my bedroom. It is the closet to the right in the picture. Its on the second floor of my house and the furthest right wall inside is against a side of my house. I am using a 250watt hortilux blue all spectrum bulb for vegging then switching for flowing. But i keep getting stuck on how to get the best ventilation for my grow space?

Here are my questions....

  1. Should i cut through the drywall and filter through the top of my closet into the attic portion of my house?
  2. Can i cut into the dry wall on the left side of the closet and ventilate through there?
  3. If yes will ventilating into the drywall make my whole house smell?
  4. If no how can i make this work?
I feel like i have the perfect space for 2-4 plants but ive been stuck with trying to figure out how to have proper circulation through my closet. Any Advise is greatly appriciated.

What problems would i run into?

im pretty sure im gonna set up a vent fan to exit out the top of my room. Then im trying to decide setting up an intake fan or leaving a small closet space open to create circulation?

I checked out your grow...is your room sealed off or is the duckting you set up running out an open door to your bathroom?

Then im going to use another fan i ordered to somehow either build a cooltube or somehow hook it up to my lights because thats where all the heat is coming from. Anyways yah you arnt going to need go crazy on ventilation like me because you have a big area, and only 250 watt light. You just need to hook up a simple venting system. My advice to you is to just read over other peoples journals/threads or whatever and basically just get a better idea of what is going to work for you. Sorry for the longness. Good lucks!

i wouldnt worry about it as much as you are.

a box fan ventilates a 4x2x8 closet w/ a 400w hps no prob. doesnt even have permanent venting.
