Has anyone tried or currently using one of these belt driven genarator's.NorthStar Belt Driven Generator Head — 10,000 Watt | Generator Heads | Northern Tool + Equipment
Thought I could power my grow with the cost of an electric motor to turn the thing. What do guys/gals think? They have smaller models as well.

rather buy a gas powered generator from Honda or someone....plus., wont it use electricity to run the electric motor that turns it? i dont know exactly how t hat thing works but i assume gas powered would be easier in the long run. probably cost a few gallons or so a month...but there ya go.

You people are something else. If you dont have an answer thats based on facts and knowledge rather than jokes, stay out of peoples threads. SALAMANDASTRON....thanks for the input. You think a gas engine would be cheaper to run than 120v/7 amp electric motor? I could run 5-1000 watt hps lights for the monthly usage of an electric motor.
